A Spectacular Celebration: Recap of our Open House and End-of-Year Extravaganza

Waylead organized its official maiden edition of the Open House Party and Christmas Party to bid farewell to 2022 in style. This maiden event was organized at Alphabet City’s Poolside. The event was a grandiose one, a peculiar trait about Waylead when organizing events.
Around 4:30pm, elegantly dressed ladies and smartly dressed gentlemen arrived in style together with their families. Our maiden event attracted potential homeowners, investors, developers, realtors, potential customers, etc. and ultimately the staff of Waylead Company Gh. Ltd to commemorate them for their efforts and contributions towards the remarkable dream of Alphabet City.
The program commenced with a brief opening sermon from Rev. Elvin Larkai, a renowned real estate consultant. Another distinguished personality in the real estate space, the Vice President of Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA), Mr. Eric Ebo Acquah shared a brief message. He was fascinated by the current state of Waylead’s current project Alphabet City. Mr. Acquah encouraged us to continue to deliver high quality housing units to serve as a solution to the housing deficit plaguing the country. The chairman of Ghana Post, Mr. George Afedzi Hayford also honored our invitation. Mr. Hayford highlighted on the relevance of the collaboration between Waylead and Ghana Post and its impacts on the country.
The Country Manager for Waylead Co. Gh. Ltd, Mr. Keegan Wang delivered his speech to the distinguished audience. Keegan reported that he has been working in Ghana for almost 14 years and therefore he considers our motherland to be his second home. Keegan extended a profound gratitude to all attendees and he additionally believes that their presence will make the event very successful. As part of his speech, Mr. Wang briefed the audience about some historical facts about Waylead venturing into the real estate space. Waylead entered the real estate space in 1992 in China, a town called Shanghai and officially started operations in Ghana in 2012. Since its inception in Ghana, Waylead has embarked on 3 successive housing projects and they are Vista Del Mare (VDM), Le Jardin Symphonique (LJS), and Alphabet City. Out of these projects, VDM is totally sold out, LJS is 95% sold out. The new project at the budding stage is the Willow Lane.
Keegan proceeded to share some of the challenges that developers encounter while operating in Ghana and the notable ones include: financial constraints, high cost of material and construction, unfavourable market dynamics, etc. Keegan added that Alphabet City is currently the household name in the luxurious apartment phase. Alphabet City aims to provide 800 homes to both residents and non-residents. Keegan concluded his speech with the vision of Alphabet City stating emphatically “We are very hopeful and optimistic that the ultimate vision of Alphabet City will be realized in the future”.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the mesmerizing performances by our invited artists Veteran Ghanaian Music Maestro Okyeame Kwame and Legendary Highlife Singer Kwabena Kwabena. Kwabena Kwabena captivated the audience with his aura of love songs that were gentle like a hug. An electrifying performance by the rap doctor Okyeame Kwame climaxed the event. The crowd couldn’t sit still, everyone went wild, clapping and cheering. The atmosphere was electric. The musical performance was more than just a show—it was like a shared adventure, where the music took everyone on a trip of emotions.
The open house was a perfect embodiment of a sense of engaged community, an inherent feature among residents of Alphabet City. Families and friends gathered, establishing new
relationships and strengthening existing bonds. In a nutshell, families came together to celebrate the accomplishments of the past year. Guests explored our luxurious 2 and 3 bedroom
apartments and the community facilities. Participants had a glimpse of the ultimate vision of Alphabet City. It was heartwarming to see the sense of community flourishing as people
shared stories, exchanged ideas, and celebrated together.
While the adults enjoyed the artistic showcase, our younger guests had a blast in their very own wonderland. Our playground was transformed into a paradise for children, complete with games and more children’s treats. Laughter echoed as children frolicked and played, making memories that will undoubtedly last a lifetime. The centerpiece was the bouncy castle that turned our grounds into a kingdom of joy, bouncing and laughter.
No celebration is complete without delicious food, and our Open House and End-of-Year Party were no exception. Our caterers together with the ushers provided a variety of delectable treats, from savory bites to sumptuous meals.
Participants also won some prizes from the raffles organized. The ultimate grand prize $2,000 cash discount was won by a Researcher in the real estate space. Other prizes include 42 Inch smart television, air-conditioning, shopping vouchers, 3 free night stay coupons, cash discount prices on merchandise such as microwaves, refrigerators, gas cookers, etc. from our partners. Partners whose immense contribution rendered the program a success include Comfee Ghana, Makassio, our financial and mortgage partners such as Republic Bank, First National Bank and FNB.
As the day came to a close, we couldn’t help but reflect on the success of our Open House and End-of-Year Party. It was a true celebration of creativity, community, and the shared experiences that make Waylead special.

As we look forward to the new year, we carry with us the memories of a day filled with laughter, joy, and the spirit of togetherness.
